Managing Team Member Roles
How to Change Roles
- 1Go to your Team page in the dashboard
- 2Find the team member you want to update
- 3Click the role dropdown next to their name
- 4Select their new role and confirm the change
Note: Only Owners can change team member roles
Role Change Considerations
- Role changes take effect immediately
- Team members are notified via email
- Removing Owner role revokes administrative access
- You cannot change your own role as the last Owner
Role Assignment Best Practices
Recommended Approach
- Start everyone as Members and promote when needed
- Limit Owner role to 1-2 trusted team leaders
- Review roles periodically as team needs change
- Document who has Owner access and why
Security Considerations
- Don't give Owner access unless absolutely necessary
- Remove Owner access when team members leave
- Always maintain at least one active Owner
- Monitor billing access for security purposes
