How Google Sheets Integration Works

Connect Your Google Account

Securely link your Google account using OAuth 2.0 authentication. We only request access to create and edit spreadsheets.

Export Invoices

Choose single invoices or entire batches to export. Our system creates a new spreadsheet or adds to an existing one.

Auto-Formatted Sheets

Data is automatically formatted with proper headers, data types, and currency formatting for immediate use.

Spreadsheet Structure

Single Invoice Export
  • Invoice Data Sheet:Complete invoice information with all extracted fields
  • Line Items Sheet:Detailed breakdown of individual line items (Pro plans)
  • BANVR Results:Bank verification data for South African invoices
Batch Export (Pro)
  • Batch Summary:Executive overview with key metrics and analytics

Setting Up Google Sheets Integration

Initial Setup

  1. 1Navigate to your Sortpay dashboard and go to Settings
  2. 2Click "Integrations" and find "Google Sheets"
  3. 3Click "Connect" and authorize Sortpay to access your Google Sheets
  4. 4Once connected, you'll see a green "Connected" status

Exporting to Google Sheets

  1. 1Go to any invoice or batch you want to export
  2. 2Click the "Export" button and select "Google Sheets"
  3. 3Choose to create a new spreadsheet or add to existing one
  4. 4The spreadsheet will open automatically in a new tab
